How we handle the information you share with JAM - what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

On this page

When you use JAM, we collect the information needed to give you an account and a workspace:

  • Your name and email from sign-in.
  • The journals, entries, mentors, tags, and feedback you create.
  • The reflections you share with your AI mentors and the responses you receive back.
  • Basic product events - like pages visited and features used - so we can understand how JAM is used.

We do not record your sessions or automatically capture clicks.

We use this information to run JAM, power your journaling and mentor features, manage your account and subscription, respond to your feedback, and keep the service reliable and secure.

A few trusted companies help us run JAM. Stripe processes payments and manages subscriptions. PostHog helps us understand product usage so we can improve the experience. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider. Each of these companies only receives the information it needs to do its job.

Your journals, entries, and private mentors are yours. We only use them to give you the JAM experience you asked for. Public mentors are different: when you publish a mentor publicly, its public details become visible to other JAM users.

JAM remembers small preferences in your browser - like your theme and animation settings - so the interface feels consistent across visits. Our sign-in and analytics providers may also use browser storage as part of their service.

You can update your account details, change your preferences, or close your account at any time. If you need help exporting or deleting your content, reach out to support and we will take care of it.

We may update this policy as JAM evolves. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will give you notice in the product.
